MIFARE UltraLight operates in full accordance with ISO 14443 A, the standard for contactless smart cards, enabling simple integration of smart paper tickets into existing ISO 14443 A-compliant transport infrastructures. With true anti-collision properties and operating without the need for a battery, the chip has a 512-bit EEPROM read/write memory and functions at a distance of up to 10 cm. MIFARE UltraLight tickets can be printed by standard ticket printing equipment as already installed in the field.
