Infrared comms is relatively free from interference from vehicle electric/electronic and industrial noise. It requires no adjusting or tuning. The transmitter is intended to be installed in a vehicle and mounted internally. It has two mounting feet with each transmitter that allow the unit to be fitted either way up on the windscreen or on the dashboard.
Power is supplied from the vehicles battery via the ignition switch. The transmitter continously radiates the tag identity code. This signal is received by the IR receiver as soon as the vehicle comes into range providing handsfree automatic operation. Approx range 6m.
