Here at ID Management Systems we deal with a huge number of the local councils from all over the UK. Make sure you use high quality plastic cards

It’s very important to spend time making sure that you get the right plastic card printer for your solution, but possibly the most important part of your ID card solution can also be one of the cheapest, the plastic cards themselves.

At ID Management Systems we supply a very wide range of different plastic cards, including cards with different technology like smart cards, proximity cards, mag-stripe cards and also cards made of different types of plastic. It can seem very confusing, but if you’re just getting started and your ID cards are purely meant to be for visual identification, then the odds are what you need are standard Fotodek Premier cards.

We recommend Fotodek cards because they are made of an exceedingly good quality PVC with a great finish, meaning that your finished cards will look better and last longer. These cards aren’t supposed to be the cheapest on the market they’re supposed to be the best.

While we understand why people might want to try and cut corners and save money where they can, plastic cards are something that it is better to aim for quality in. Cheap cards made from poor quality PVC will not print as well or last as long and they may even damage your printer.

One of the things we at ID Management Systems have always prided ourselves on is the service and support that we offer to our customers. We don’t think that our involvement with our customers is done as soon as we’ve taken the money and shipped the order, that’s where it starts, and that’s why we still work with many of our first customers from when the company was founded almost two decades ago. As standard all printers that we supply have their manufacturer warranties, but as well as that they include support direct with us for the first year. This means that if you have any problems at all in the first year, and the years after that if you choose to continue the support, just give us a call and we’ll do everything that we can to help. Often we can resolve problems over the phone or by remotely accessing the equipment but if we come across something that can’t be fixed that way all you need to do is get the printer back to us and we’ll do our best to get it working again for you. We can even arrange for the loan of an equivalent specification machine for you to use while we repair yours so you don’t have to worry about being left unable to print. 2011 has been the best year yet for ID Management Systems. We’ve worked with a greater number of customers than ever before and supplied more plastic card printers, smart and technology cards and card accessories in the last year than in any year before since the company was founded back in 1994.

Of course, just because 2011 has been great doesn’t mean that we’re sitting back and relaxing. We’re looking forward to a great 2012 with even bigger amounts of business and we’ve got some great new clients that we’re already looking forward to starting work with.

With any luck, by the end of 2012 we’ll be in a position to look back on an even better year, with more happy customers supplied and even more new and exciting products in our ever-expanding range.

As a supplier of high-tech equipment we are constantly working with newly developed equipment. We work with new printers, smart cards and even new types of ID accessory on a regular basis and we’re always looking to find new ways of making the equipment do what people need in better ways.
